Cairo - Egyptian police have detained two men suspected of driving the Dahab resort bombers, the country's Mena news agency reported on Friday.
Egyptian security forces said they were questioning two drivers whose passengers could have been involved in the blasts.
Monday's bomb attacks in the Egyptian resort of Dahab killed 18 people.
On Wednesday, two bombers died when they blew themselves up in attacks on a multinational peace force and an Egyptian police station, both based in north Sinai.
The country's security forces said one of the detained drivers had picked up three Bedouin from central Sinai on the eve of the Dahab attacks. He had driven them to the resort.
The other driver, said Egyptian police, was a Palestinian living in north Sinai. He had driven a bomb suspect close to an airport used by the multinational force and observers, which monitors the border with Israel.
Shortly after the Dahab blasts, police said they had formally detained at least 10 people and 70 local Bedouin were detained for questioning.
Egyptian police said the Dahab and north Sinai attacks could be linked.
