2 nabbed for diplomat's murder

Khartoum, Sudan - Sudanese security forces arrested two suspects in the murder of a US diplomat after a brief firefight on Saturday, the Sudanese news agency announced.
Acting on a tip, the police closed in on the suspects in the murder of USAID employee John Granville, in a suburb of Omdurman, the capital Khartoum's twin city, and after an exchange of fire, arrested them, Suna quoted a police statement as saying.
Several people, including police and bystanders, were injured said the statement, without specifying the numbers.
Granville was being driven home around 04:00 on January 1 when his car was cut off by another vehicle and came under fire, according to the Sudanese Interior Ministry.
Granville was hit by five bullets and died after surgery. His driver, Abdel-Rahman Abbas, was also killed.
