Cairo - Egyptian security forces have arrested about 30 suspects over the triple bombings at the Red Sea resort of Dahab that left at least 18 people dead, says an interior ministry source on Wednesday.
The sources said that the suspects, most of them Bedouins from the Sinai, were being interrogated in connection with Monday's bombings, the third attack on the peninsula's resorts in 18 months.
Health and security officials said that 12 Egyptians and six foreigners were killed.
Police said that on Tuesday 10 people had been arrested, including three Egyptian computer engineers carrying fake papers who arrived in the resort on Sunday and left an hour after the attacks.
It was reported that initial investigations suggested that the three almost simultaneous explosions were caused by suicide bombers.
It said investigators had retrieved body parts, believed to belong to Bedouin suicide bombers, and were carrying out DNA tests to identify them. A manhunt was under way for more suspects.
