Al Jazeera journalists released on bail

Cairo - A Cairo court released two Al-Jazeera journalists Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed after more than 400 days in jail, but did not dismiss the case against them.

Judge Hassan Farid said the next hearing would be on 23 February Fahmy was released on $32 765 bail, while Mohamed was released with no bail.

On 2 February Australian journalist Peter Greste was released from prison and was deported from Cairo after 400 days in captivity. He flew to Cyprus.

Greste was released after a presidential "approval", according to an Egyptian prison official and the nation's official news agency.
