Tsvangirai slammed over 'God chosen remark'

Zimbabwe's PM Morgan Tsvangirai has been criticised after telling a religious audience that he and President Robert Mugabe were chosen by God to lead the nation and that people should pray for them, a report says.

Cape Town - A 14-day-old baby boy has been abducted from Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town while his mother lies in a coma, police said on Saturday.

Police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk said night nursing staff noticed the baby was missing from his crib in ward J-2 at about 20:30 on Friday.

They reported the matter to the police.

"The baby's mother from Delft has been in a coma for some time and is currently still in the intensive care unit at the hospital."

No photograph of the child is available. He is known as BZ Ncumani.

A case of abduction has been registered with the police.
