Cairo - A tour bus flipped over in southern Egypt on Wednesday, injuring 21 tourists, four of them seriously, said a security source.
The bus was taking the tourists from the southern city of Luxor to the Red Sea resort of Hurghada after the driver lost control of the vehicle as it drove down a hill, the source said.
The injured passengers were taken to hospital, where two Australians, one Austrian and one German tourist were in critical condition, he added.
Reckless driving, lax traffic rules and poor road conditions contributed to the numerous road crashes in Egypt. A series of fatal road and rail accidents in recent years had triggered a public outcry over the government's handling of transport safety.
