Bus crash kills 15 in Ghana - police

Accra - A head-on collision involving two buses in southern Ghana on Tuesday killed 15 passengers and injured about 20 others, a police spokesperson said.

"It is true that 15 passengers died this morning when the two buses collided," Assistant Superintendent Philbert Zubaviel told AFP, adding that some 20 other people had various degrees of injuries.

The accident occurred at about 02:30 when the public transport buses, travelling in opposite directions, collided at a bend in the Offinso North district of the Ashanti region, he said.
