Cops lick cocaine lollipop plot

Madrid - Spanish border police discovered 55 lollipops stuffed with cocaine at Madrid airport, the paramilitary Guardia Civil said on Tuesday.
The 4 500 doses of the narcotic, which had been wrapped in latex and hidden in the sweets, arrived from Colombia by post.
Once in Madrid, the package was due to be forwarded to a Colombian and two Dominicans care of a post office in the town of Tafalla in Navarra on the northern broder with France.
The three prospective recipients were arrested.
Spain is one of Europe's main ports of entry for cocaine. In 2005, seizures of the drug hit a record high of 46.6 tons.
