Crocodile Bridge Gate re-opened

Skukuza - Visitors to the Kruger National Park may once again use the Crocodile Bridge gate which was closed to traffic for four days because of the rising of the Crocodile River.
The gate was reopened on Tuesday after the river's level subsided, said Kruger National Park spokesperson Raymond Travers.
"The gate was closed on Friday December 29 when it was deemed too dangerous to cross the low water bridge over the Crocodile River. However, the KNP has received warnings of further rain in the catchment area of the Crocodile River over the next few days so there is a possibility that the gate could be closed again."
If it is closed again, guests should use any of the other gates in the area, including Malelane, Numbi, Phabeni and Paul Kruger entrance gates.
Visitors should contact Crocodile Bridge Rest Camp on (013) 735 6012 to check whether the gate is open on the day of their journey to the Kruger National Park.
Crocodile Bridge gate is situated near Komatipoort and is popular with visitors from Mozambique and the southern Lowveld region.
