Johannesburg - A South African aircraft leasing company is still waiting for news of its crew after one of its planes went down in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.
A CemAir employee said the search and rescue crew had not yet been able to get to the site to provide firm news of the fate of the South African pilot, a British crew member and passengers, but hoped to succeed on Wednesday.
"They will try again today at dawn, weather permitting. We haven't heard anything yet," she said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The plane, contracted to ServAir, a humanitarian organisation, went missing on Monday on a flight between Kisangani and Bukavu in the east of the country.
ServAir said the craft was spotted at 06:10 on a steep ridge northwest of Bukavu.
