The Hague - The International Criminal Court on Wednesday found Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga guilty of war crimes in its landmark first ruling since it was set up a decade ago.

Wonder what the sentence is, hope they make him swing!

      DSBennie - 2012-03-14 12:48

Not likely, the court is based in the Netherlands, EU law prevents them from making him swing

  • Phumi - 2012-03-14 12:30

Due to the desparation of ICC to have a landmark judgement it rushed into a decision of finding Lubanga guilty. He (Lubanga) deserves to have a fair trial in his country of birth and not in foreign lands where biasness is the order of the day towards African leadership. All Africans should reject this decision with contempt it deserves and the only one we should accept must come from the peoples of DRC!

      Brian - 2012-03-14 12:36

Phumi we are one world its time for all africans to claim this

      lindz.kok - 2012-03-14 12:38

yip and that is the typical mindset that brought africa to its knees, we dont care what these leaders do as long as they kick against the west our brothers and sisters can die by the thousands daily... criminals are criminals and should pay for theyre deeds it does not matter by whose hand they pay that price!

      Rudi - 2012-03-14 12:49

Wouldnt call 10 years with no verdicts rushing.

at least as african we can look to the west for protection. sadly our own leaders do not care about the human right violation of the african people as they continue to plunder the resources. can you imagine if this case was handle by an africa union criminal court i bet this guy would have walked scot free. I am an african but I rather look to the west for protection
