Five held in possible 419 scam

Johannesburg - Four Nigerian nationals and a South African woman have been arrested in Springs for drug offences which police say might be linked to a 419 scam operation.

Spokesperson Andy Pieke says the police were alerted after a police patrol noticed a man acting suspiciously.

Police searched the flat and seized computers; two car radios; eight cellphones; more than 200 ecstasy tablets; 30 rocks of cocaine and 13 packets of powdered cocaine.

The five will appear in court on charges of dealing in drugs and being in possession of stolen goods.
