Abidjan - Ivory Coast leader Laurent Gbagbo's most feared lieutenant, Charles Ble Goude, urged his followers on Saturday to get ready for battle against the rival government of Alassane Ouattara.

Gbagbo's minister for youth, who has been under United Nations sanctions since 2006 for "acts of violence by street militias, including beatings, rapes and extrajudicial killings", made the call as he announced a street rally.

"We are going to defend the sovereignty of our country until the last drop of our sweat. I urge all Ivorians to make themselves ready for this combat. We are going to totally liberate our country," he said.

that idiot 'ble' thinks violence is the solution.instead of his boss finding a peaceful exit strategy,he wants a scorched earth campaign that will kill his countrymen...well i dont blame him.I hope he will be the 1st person to receive that trouble when the Nigerians/ECOWAS troops get there.Knowing those nigerians, they always like trouble.they will 'kaput' people like him 1st.Houmphet Boigny laid down the roots of this problem with his support for the crises in liberia and sierre leone. Now the Hen has come back to roost.those who make peaceful change impossible, make violent change inevitable
