Cape Town – Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is back home and says he is ready to resume work after he fell ill in London where he had gone to attend the Honorary International Investors’ Council (HIIC) meeting.

Reports said Jonathan became indisposed on Thursday while in London and had to receive unplanned medical treatment, with doctors advising him to take a rest.

According to The Nation, Jonathan’s spokesperson said the president admitted he had some health challenges but he was ready to resume work.

It was not clear what Jonathan’s health trouble was. His spokesperson denounced an online publication which suggested that his boss was battling a hangover after his birthday revelry. He said the report was "fictional nonsense", the report said.
