Papeete - The daughter of a French couple whose sailboat was seized by pirates off Somalia says her parents are doing well.
Alizee Delanne says she spoke to her parents, Jean-Yves and Bernadette Delanne, via satellite phone following their capture.
Alizee Delanne tells Radio 1 in Tahiti, where the couple lives, that her father said he and his wife were with the pirates and that "everything is fine".
She says she then called authorities in France on Wednesday - the day that the French Foreign Ministry announced the attack. The ministry did not provide the names of the two hostages.
The ministry says more than 260 acts of maritime piracy were recorded worldwide last year, including 30 off Somalia.
