Liberia opposition reject results
Dakar - Liberia's opposition leader says he will not accept the results of this week's presidential run-off, which his party boycotted despite pressure from the United States.
Winston Tubman told The Associated Press on Thursday by telephone from Liberia's capital that he is "not a troublemaker," and that his aim is to make his voice heard by the international community.
Incumbent Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is expected to win the run-off but her victory has been tainted by the opposition's withdrawal. Tubman says the electoral process is rigged in her favour.
Most analysts, however, say Tubman boycotted the run-off because he knew he could not win. The United States called his allegations of fraud "unsubstantiated".
