Liberia to get 5 million condoms

Taipei - Taiwan plans to donate five million condoms to Liberia to help it control the spread of Aids, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

"The donation is made at the suggestion of the World Health Organisation's representative in Liberia," said Hsia Li-yan, head of the ministry's International Organisation Department.

"A Taiwan medical team will present the first batch, 400 000 condoms, to WHO representative in Monrovia next Wednesday," Hsia said. - Sapa-DPA
