Mbeki, Zuma to Burundi

Johannesburg - South African President Thabo Mbeki is to meet up with his deputy Jacob Zuma in Tanzania on Monday to attend a regional summit on peace efforts in Burundi, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
The department said Mbeki was scheduled to leave on Monday for the Regional Heads of State Summit on Burundi in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
Zuma, who would present a report on developments in the peace process to the gathering in his capacity as facilitator, arrived in Tanzania earlier on Sunday.
Issues on the summit agenda include the complete deployment of the African mission in Burundi, an agreement on power sharing and the implementation of the ceasefire agreements including the demobilisation, disarmament, rehabilitation and reintegration programme.
