Cairo - Clashes in several Egyptian cities on Friday have left 252 people injured, the health ministry said.

Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets across the country to protest against Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, who is accused of failing the revolution that brought him to power.

Protests turned violent in Cairo and several provinces, with police firing tear gas and demonstrators attacking government buildings.
