Johannesburg - The murderer of a businessman who was shot while fetching employees in Boksburg two years ago was sentenced to 25 years' jail by Johannesburg High Court on Tuesday.
Mark Eden Baxall died in Roseacres Clinic three days after the June 2003 incident near Knights station.
The court said there was little chance that Emmanuel Phiri, 24, of Katlehong, could be rehabilitated.
He also was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, for which the court sentenced him to six years, to run concurrently with the 25-year sentence.
He was also sentenced for attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The court heard he was one of three people who attacked Baxall.
