Abuja - Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan declared three days of national mourning on Sunday after a plane carrying 153 people crashed in the economic capital Lagos, with all those aboard feared dead.
Jonathan "has declared a three-day period of national mourning for all those who lost their lives in the Dana plane crash in Lagos today", a statement from his office said.
"President Jonathan, who has cancelled all his public engagements scheduled for tomorrow [Monday], has also directed that the Nigerian flag be flown at half-mast for the three days of national mourning," the statement added.
"Meanwhile, the president has ordered the fullest possible investigation into the crash."
