Mbabane - A military plane crashed in bad weather in south-eastern Swaziland, leaving the country's tiny air force with just three aircraft, an aviation spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Two senior pilots escaped unhurt, said defence spokesperson Lieutenant Khanya Dlamini.
The Swazi Defence Force is left with just three aircraft, two of them helicopters. In September 2003, two military pilots also escaped unscathed when they crashed a Piper Cherokee.
In the latest crash, an Araba 201 plane purchased by the military in 1977 crashed while returning from a parachute training session on Saturday.
A civil aviation spokesperson said the crash was caused by negligent flying in misty and cloudy weather.
