Pope: Unite against terrorism

Sydney - Pope Benedict has called for all religions to unite against terrorism and resolve conflicts peacefully, during his visit in Australia for the Church?s World Youth Day, Reuters has reported.

"In a world threatened by sinister and indiscriminate forms of violence, the unified voice of religious people urges nations and communities to resolve conflict through peaceful means and with full regard for human dignity," Benedict was quoted as saying.

He also said the Catholic Church was open to learn from other religions, particularly Islam.

"The Church eagerly seeks opportunities to listen to the spiritual experience of other religions," he said.

As far as I have read it was the people of Egypt that brought him down with absolutely no help from the West. I think your hatred towards the most civilised governments of the world is clouding your judgement in this case. Egypt was not Libya and even there it was not the West that brought the "Brother Leader" down, it was the people of Libya that wanted the "Freedom" to vote for the people that lead them and not a Dictator that suppressed any opposition to his rule in a very barbaric and sadistic way, including torture, death (as well as family connected to the accused)and complete control of the country's wealth. But I am sure you love African CORRUPTION as you must be on the "Gravy Train" to say that the West was involved in clearing up a little of the corruption in Africa. Read the article...
