Durban - A Durban man who was released on bail in May for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl, has allegedly raped her again, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.
His bail was cancelled and he was taken into custody after the girl was raped twice in two months, said Captain Bongani Khomo.
"The man was arrested in May this year for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl. He was given bail by the court and went back to the community.
"The same girl that he allegedly raped disappeared and when she returned home she told her parents that the man took her."
The 39-year-old man lived near the child's home in KwaDabeka township, Pinetown.
"The girl's parents were at work when she disappeared. The man's bail has been cancelled and he is in custody," said Khomo.
