Cairo - An Egyptian, suspected of involvement in the triple suicide bombings that killed 20 people in the Sinai peninsula last month, has surrendered to Egyptian security forces.
Khalil al-Menei, 25, from the northern Sinai town of Al-Arish, was on a list of people wanted in connection with a string of terrorist attacks in the Sinai.
He turned himself in to the police on Wednesday, said an Egyptian police official.
Three suicide bombers blew themselves up in the popular southern Sinai diving resort of Dahab on April 24.
The blasts killed 20 people, not including the bombers, and wounded about 90.
Egyptian security forces have been combing the vast mountainous desert of Sinai since the bombings, in efforts to track the perpetrators.
On Tuesday, Egyptians officials announced that the mastermind of the terror organisation behind the bombings had been killed.
They said six others suspects and a police force officer, had also been killed since the government launched its manhunt in the peninsula.
The Egyptian interior ministry accuses the Tawhid wal Jihad (Unification and Holy War) group of responsiblity for all the attacks in the Sinai over the past two years.
About 70 people were killed in multiple bomb attacks on Sharm el-Sheikh in July, and 34 died in simultaneous bombings against resorts in Taba in 2004.
