Nairobi - Sweden has granted Kenya $101.6m to strengthen democratic governance and fight Aids in the next two years, the finance ministry said in a statement.
The grant will cover projects aimed at promoting good governance, fighting Aids and its socio-economic impact in the country between 2004 and 2006, the statement said.
Aids has killed about 1.5 million people since 1984 in Kenya. About seven percent of Kenya's 32 million inhabitants are estimated to be infected with the HIV virus that causes Aids.
