Nairobi - Kenyan police recovered on Sunday the body of a man, believed to be a tourist, who was killed before being dumped at a garbage site.
The body of the man, who had no identification papers on him, was recovered near the port city of Mombasa, said police commander Wilfred Mbithi.
The victim had a deep wound on his head which indicated a struggle with assailants who may have used a blunt object, Mbithi said, adding that there was no blood at the site where he was found.
Police have vowed to crack down on attacks against tourists in the east African nation.
Earlier this month gunmen opened fire on a van carrying a group of Italian tourists in Mombasa, robbing and wounding them.
