Cairo - Three Egyptian voters died on Wednesday in violence that erupted outside polling stations during the final round of the month-long parliamentary elections, medical sources said.
In the town of Tellin, in the Nile Delta governorate of Sharqiya, a man died of a heart attack after inhaling tear gas fired by riot police to disperse protestors, a local hospital official said.
The victim was identified as Abdel Moneim al-Khadri.
Some of the worst clashes of the polls' final run-offs took place in the northern coastal town of Damietta, where two people were shot dead, medical sources said.
The opposition Muslim Brotherhood said the victims were two of its supporters and named them as Said Hassan al-Deredi and Shaaban Ahmed Abu Rabaa.
Wednesday's deaths brought to five the number of Egyptians who died in election-related violence since the polls kicked off on November 9.
