Warships headed to I Coast

Toulon - Two French warships left the Mediterranean port of Toulon on Wednesday with 350 marines and equipment on board en route for the Ivory Coast, the navy said.

Le Foudre and La Fayette were expected to reach Ivory Coast by November 20.

The transport Le Foudre departed with 250 aboard as well as tanks, five helicopters and light vehicles.

The frigate La Fayette left with 150 aboard, and has one helicopter on board.
