Zuma to go on ‘thank you’ tour
Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma is expected to embark on his Siyabonga (thank you) meetings across the provinces in July, following his party's victory in this year's democratic elections.
"The meetings are meant to thank South Africans who participated in the 2009 National and Provincial Elections and also to thank those who ensured that the ANC received a decisive victory," said ANC spokesperson Jessie Duarte on Thursday.
These meetings would also reiterate the priority programmes of the ANC, she said.
Zuma would visit the Free State on July 5, Mpumalanga on July 21, and conclude his visit in KwaZulu-Natal on July 25
Duarte said details of the venues and times would be provided at a later date.
