Niger: Thousands left without homes after severe flooding

Niamey - Tens of thousands of people have been left homeless in Niger after months of severe flooding.

Residents in the capital, Niamey, have criticised the authorities, saying that rebuilding efforts in flood-stricken areas have been slow.

At least 56 people have died in the flooding since the rainy season began in June.
