Police and lawyers from Zimbabwe's largest mobile phone operator have raided the offices of online news agency The Source in a dispute over stories published by the agency earlier this year.

Cape Town - Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has thrown his weight behind the ANC, and said that they should win the 2014 elections as they had South Africa's well-being at heart, Buluwayo24 reports.

Mugabe made the remarks at the South African Department of Trade and Industry's stand at the Zimbabwe International Trade fair.

Mugabe said that the ANC should win as they are the revolutionary party. He wished them luck in the upcoming elections.

Mugabe told the South African delegation that they want South Africa to invest in Zimbabwe, as it is also their country.

According to Buluwayo24, Mugabe's backing of the ANC is no surprise, as the ANC backed Zanu-PF for the 2013 Zimbabwe elections.

Back then, the ANC said that they were willing to help Zanu-PF come up with election messages and strategies that would help them secure victory.
