Queen 'talks fondly of Zim, wants to visit '

2012-07-30 13:11

Cape Town - Relations between Britain and Zimbabwe are strained, but UK ambassador to Zimbabwe Deborah Bronnert says Queen Elizabeth II wishes to visit the country, Radio Vop said in a report.

"When I spoke to her last year she had full memories of visiting this country.

"I could see her love for the country in our conversation connected to my coming here as a representative. She was talking very fondly of Zimbabwe and her intentions to come here, travelling around here and seeing the people of Zimbabwe," Bronnert said.

Bronnert said that 2012 is a "special year" for the United Kingdom, which is hosting the London Olympics and Paralympics, and also celebrated the monarch's diamond jubilee.

President Robert Mugabe can’t set foot in London because of European Union imposed travel bans.

Mugabe blames Britain for retaliation following his controversial seizure of white owned farmlands.

The last time Queen Elizabeth visited Zimbabwe was in October 1991, when Zimbabwe was hosting the Commonwealth heads of government meeting in Harare.

Whilst I hope she can witness the difficulties that all Zimbabweans have been exposed to I do hope she takes time to visit some old age homes where she may also meet many of her own subjects or their descendants living in hand to mouth conditions.

      claudia.meads - 2012-07-30 13:41

Most notably, one would like her to see that what has followed the 'colonization' of Africa, is the real 'CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY'...

      Squeegee - 2012-07-30 13:45

She must have bumped her head when she jumped out of the chopper at the games... (yes I know that was make believe - so is Zimbabwe)

      KeeperofChaos - 2012-07-30 13:57

That is if Rob the zoo keeper doesn't slap a travel ban on her to get back at them. He is enough of a moron to do something like that. I hope The Queen does manage to go visit and try talk some sense into his head (An intelligent conversation must be a pretty tough call for Rob, shame) Once the place was the powerhouse of Africa, but now productivity and investment lay in ruins, really feel for the honest workers/voters that have suffered through military rule and human rights abuse.

      bob.mcmillen.564 - 2012-07-30 14:17

Oh dear she in for a very big disappointment, although nothing like the early eighties I'm sure it was still something to see in the early nineties, sadly Bob has ruined it completely since then, it only took him less than thirty years to destroy a country and it's people, I think this ANC are trying to beat that time, 18 years and they have done a pretty good job so far, wrecking and stealing everything.

      Revelgen - 2012-07-30 14:46

I wish she would visit and see for herself the reality of how Mad Bob and his Zanu-PF henchmen have wrecked a once-prosperous country and driven 3 million impoverished Zim refugees into South Africa. Time for the truth to come out.

all african territories must now seriously start thinking about moving out of this aryan prostitution organizations .like the common wealth and francophonie.this organizations belong to thoes who created them.why should we promote the languages and culture of our worste enemies?it is time we scrape english french and portuguse from our schools and replace with our own languages.we can not be learning in occupation languages and beliving at the same time we are independent .independent people study in thier own language.promote thier own humanity in this process and valorizing thier culture.by accepting aryan languages we remain like a people under occupation mentally.incapable of thinking our own future using our own languages. since language is the longest historic memory of every people.it is what connect us to the past and also give us a sense of historic continuity.this is one reason why aryans have been successful in manipulating us with information like this.as if the queen of england is some one special to africans.or we need her appreciation etc.we see her as the decerndant of queen victoria who sold nearly all her property in the 15 century and bought a ship.then send it to east africa with 15 military officers to capture african people for business.7 of them died but they succeeded in capturing many africans who where distroyed by satanist.about 500 years later thier decerndants are trying to flater us with scrape like this.we africans must never forgive them.

      mina.moo.14 - 2012-07-30 13:58

Breath brother, breath. Use commas and start your sentence with Caps.

      graeme.speed.35 - 2012-07-30 13:58

It looks like you've already scrapped English

      teboh.rapheal - 2012-07-30 14:01

i could see her love for the country?which country?that trimmed by your demonic ancestors from the berlin conference?after 500 years of continous agression.one continue to wonder what was going through the minds of democratic aryan kings who attended this conference .which goes dawn in history as one of the must intentional distruction of human by aryans?did democracy existe by then?we africans must be serine and draw lessons from history .not allowing the enemy to distract us with statements like this.MUGABE is on the death least of the anglo american impire.they will lynch him if they get the chance through thier creation tsvangiria.the word forgiveness not to talk of forgetting the past must be wiped from our minds.any people who forgive aryans shall perish from the earths sufface .they never forgive and it was proven in lybia.they took more than 40 years to get gadhafi.

      rob.bayliss.94 - 2012-07-30 14:08

teboh: One advantage of being last in the human race is that you can blame everyone else for leaving you behind. Why not try to catch up by using your freedom and independance to select the benefits of exposure to other cultures?

      KeeperofChaos - 2012-07-30 14:18

Dear teboh, while you rant and rave millions of people are starving in zim. Taking the land and giving it to the people has created so much wealth hasn't it. Yet they carry on and take up major shares in everything they see fit. How's that working for them? More people face poverty and starvation, coming soon... Go bite the hand that feeds you. By the way, stick to your african languages if you wish, it will make you soooo relevant in the rest of the world. You did just post in (poor)English did you not???

      dave.nutter.75 - 2012-07-30 14:32

I agree, and stop begging for money from the European countries. Then lets see what happens you moron

      keith.fincham - 2012-07-30 14:35

The complete depth of ignorance Teboh and his cronies possess scares me. There is no hope for people like this guy. God save the Queen and hopefully she can save the starving people of Zim.

      mark.ross.779 - 2012-07-30 14:36

I don't know which comments were funnier, Teboh's or Graeme's one.

      CORNHOLIO - 2012-07-30 14:44

so queen victoria did this 400 years BEFORE she was even born. R E S P E C T as to the rest "no comment"

      CORNHOLIO - 2012-07-30 14:47

btw i think your name is spelled raphael

      thomas.obrian.92 - 2012-07-30 14:48

teboh, you are using a PC to write and transferring the data on the ether waves, beware, they are instrument developed, made, marketed and maintained by ayran colonists, who also still provide you with all your mod-cons you enjoy on a daily basis. I don' think you and any like you would be able to survive without these colonial ayrans.

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 14:59

Another special little racist come revolutionary come terrorist come ....brainwashed idiot.

      kevin.day.7370 - 2012-07-30 15:10

teboh, I know your reading skills must be bad, so no point in writing too much here! Keep going with your line of reasoning and your closed-minded sense of reasoning and you'll be standing in the food queue soon.

      Roulon du Toit - 2012-07-30 16:21

Teboh, how about this: click click blah blah click click. For the rest of you not speaking the African language it says "Teboh likes to spew crap out of his mouth although he forgets that he should be using smoke signals and cave paintings to carry his point across to the colonists". Geez, then the Native Americans must insist that they take back America. If Africa was so damned superior centuries ago then why did they not chase the aryans away! Fight them with stick and stone (for that is what they had). Everyone is sharing in the benefits of technologies and cultures from around the world.

      sharon.a.marks.9 - 2012-07-31 15:50

teboh, before we came to africa you rocket scientists could not read or write, you had not even invented the wheel or even proper clothing, now bare in mind this was not too long ago,you have since been taught to read and write, you have even been given a dictionary and you can now even see yourselves in a mirror - wow amazing, stop biting the hand that is feeding you,you lot were a bunch of tribes that spent most of your time raping and slaughtering each other and on your odd day off you would run around stealing each others cattle, life must have been bliss.the world is huge yet with technology it has become small, one group cant survive on its own so accept what and who you are and try and grow with the rest of the world or you will be left behind

  • BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 13:45

How charming. I wonder, is she aware of anything that goes on in Zimbabwe? Next we'll hear of the high tea with mad Uncle Bob in his Palace. It is a truly interesting world we live in.

      sharon.a.marks.9 - 2012-07-31 15:52

she should stay away from the zoomer, she might get the spear

  • frothmann - 2012-07-30 13:45

She's old and confused. She's talking about Zanzibar...lol

      sandra.j.rennie - 2012-08-01 12:00

Definitely very confused ! This is not the 1950's ! But good for her , let her go and get the shock of her life !

  • richard.sloman.5 - 2012-07-30 14:06

Am sure TIM will welcome her with open arms...

      CORNHOLIO - 2012-07-30 14:59

african labourers built these european ports all of whom were founded long before the first european set foot in africa? with respect where do you get this stuff?

      rob.bayliss.94 - 2012-07-30 16:06

teboh: Fortunately you are a minority view. Your ignorance and lop-sided worldview will ensure that very few people will want to listen to you once you start with your inaccurate and spiteful rhetoric. Unfortunatley some will listen, and in doing so will be on a journey of decline. As for Liverpool, Amsterdam etc....they were founded a very long time ago; long before Europeans arrived in SA, but yes, their wealth was in part due to trading...that is what sensible people do when they produce a surplus to their own needs. The alternative is poverty, so make your choice.

      sharon.a.marks.9 - 2012-07-31 15:56

teboh, your carefully written articles seem to me to describe the story of a culture of loosers and thus the bitterness

  • toddler.ras - 2012-07-30 14:07

Do you seriously think Bob will allow her to visit his country?

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 14:51

It would be in terrible contrast with his current ideology.

  • lovemore.mutawu - 2012-07-30 14:18

Bob should put the Queen on the sanctions list as wel!

      nhamo.dzenyika - 2012-07-30 14:36

yah; so that she does not see the ruins:)

      teboh.rapheal - 2012-07-30 14:40

KEEPEROFCHAOS. this technic of manipulating people to only think of the present.in oder to live what is ours in the hands of unscrupulous aryan capitalist is over.we africans have decided to take everything into our hands once and for all.if people are staving in ZIMBABWE.then it is an african problem to be discaused by authentic africans .if africa want to be free interllectually and scientifically.then we must solicitate african languages for this to become reality.progress in all domians is not an english posesesion and will never be.the have been differend dominant languages in the past.but where are they today?every people stick to thier ancestrality promote and valorize it.when it comes to our turn some want us to remain memitic.english is not an african language and will never be.even though we still have some culturally dislocated africans who think take pride in what is not ours.we must cure thier brains.if you expect me to use english perfectly.then never reply to my comments.i am not indo aryan point.HOTEP

      KeeperofChaos - 2012-07-30 15:11

Teboh, please, I'm trying to help you here. Of course you have to look at present day situations to know what is going to happen in future right? You say "we africans have decided to take everything into our hands". What good has come from that looking at Zim? Nothing. You want to be free to take want you want, what you don't realise is that that makes you wealthy only in the short run. Zim has paid a heavy price to see Rob's vision. Can you not see that? English might not be an african language yes, my point is it is the world standard for conducting business. You want to attract foreign investment to aid growth in the country : Start by speaking/writing proper English.

      Roulon du Toit - 2012-07-30 16:11

Can someone please translate Teboh's comment for me? I think I saw something that was supposed to read 'intellectually', which already makes me shudder if this is how it is spelled m

      Roulon du Toit - 2012-07-30 16:14

Sorry! That random "m" was a slip of the finger. Guess I'm becoming 'interlectual'

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 16:58

Well it doesn't work like that - you see, England doesn't need anything from Zimbabwe. Get it?

  • karen.dumeeduval - 2012-07-30 14:36

Sure old Bob can't wait to have her over for a cuppa and chinwag!

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 15:44

Well he does like to hob-knob with the elite while his people starve.

  • jeffrey.mnisi - 2012-07-30 14:58

Can we have PPL admitting that they are the Architects of this artificial poverty in zim. Remember when Rob taking land by force, was when the british was not willing to negotiate/deliver the promise. Guys we can laugh, see Africans as sub-humans, but the fact remains; britain must take the blame: lancaster treaty. Someone wise must question the stipulations of Lancaster. I am not Zim but SA, lets stop this bible and a gun situation.

      wekunetsavamwe - 2012-07-30 15:13

True dat bra its like when the \whites\ break the oaths its cool no offence just forgive and smile but if it is a black man its corruption, violating, human rights e.t.c why

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 15:57

Expand on this "negotiate/deliver the promise" please.

      Andrew - 2012-07-30 16:34

There is nothing in the Lancaster agreement about Britain buying farms. Britain made the offer to buy land after the agreement only as a courtesy, which they did. You cannot demand other people must give you a donation it's their choice.

      rob.bayliss.94 - 2012-07-30 16:49

jeffrey: Take a look at: http://www.royalafricansociety.org/country-profiles/846-zimbabwe.html It seems accurate and unbiased to me, it will at least give you some idea of the issues....as for Britain taking the blame, that doesn't make sense, the provisions in the Lancaster House agreement appear to have expired in 1990, and that was when the rot set in.

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 17:00

      artificial poverty? LMAO

      1amAlan - 2012-07-30 17:49

Artificial poverty Jeffrey? It looks pretty real to me. Bear in mind that when ZPF took over it was a viable economy. Now what have they got? Remind me again who the architect of the poverty is?

      jmasha3 - 2012-07-30 21:07

Steady progress in Zimbabwe just some final touches on the transformation process soon Zim will be totally liberated from racists capitalists thugs and will be a state where ordinary citizens have equal share and benefit from their country's wealth unlike SA with its fake rainbow-poverty.Zimbabwe will soon be up there while SA will be flowing down the drain of a failed states and all of us we will flock to Zim for a better life.

  • wekunetsavamwe - 2012-07-30 15:05

We don't need her in our country, they should keep and live peacefully in their kingdom and we shall do the same. Her intentions ain't good strictly no white ass in zim.

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 16:11

Yes, and that's why Zim will strictly remain a disaster and a complete failure, and obviously this is something you like and consider to be some kind of achievement. Do you have a brain somewhere?

      1amAlan - 2012-07-30 17:46

Why the hell she would want to visit that country is beyond me. There is literally nothing left.

      AnthonyfromAfrica - 2012-07-31 03:58

Wekunetsavamwe, Don't be so pathethically childish; "hahahaha, assas, hahaha, assas" You sound like a 8 year old boy, spun out of control !! And when you are grown up, maybe you will see that you are insulting MILLIONS of Zimbabweans, who had to escape this mugabe thug's tyranny, so that they could stay alive !!!! Now, go and wipe YOUR ass !!

  • ktheron2 - 2012-07-30 16:35

Oh dear. This teboh.rapheal character is indeed a retarded moron, just like Mugabe. Both are breathtakingly and irretrievably idiotic.

      thomas.obrian.92 - 2012-07-30 16:43

      Hear hear !

      BigChiefPlumbPudding - 2012-07-30 17:14

Yes, but you should state that in more simple terms so they understand what you're saying. You're not being very sporting. LOL

      sandra.j.rennie - 2012-08-01 12:05

Well boemo, if she was your Queen, your Country wouldn't be in the state it is. Your people wouldn't be starving. They would be getting grants and such. Your peoples' cattle wouldn't be dying - they would be vaccinated and so forth !
