Three people have been arrested in connection with a string of business robberies in Sydenham, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

On Thursday, members of the Inanda crime intelligence and K9 units arrested the three during an intensive operation in Sydenham.

Captain Thulani Zwane said today: “The suspects started terrorising the business people of Sydenham last year, when they allegedly entered premises and at gun point robbed the staff and customers of their belongings.”

The alleged robbers, aged between 20 and 29, were linked to 11 business robberies and police are investigating whether they could be linked to more.

They will appear in the Durban Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
