If you feel like you can’t get enough of TV star Minenhle Dlamini, grab your chance to look at her 365 days of the year.

Dlamini has joined the likes of Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj by releasing a 2015 calendar.

Miss Minnie says she decided to create the calendar after considering various ways of growing her brand with her US-based PR team.

Dlamini says: “That side [in the US], it’s a common trend. I wanted it to be personal and to be part of a truly Minnie initiative.

“Thus we came up with it as one of the many ways to fund my newly formed Minnie Dlamini Foundation for young girls.”

Dlamini says there are “more and more projects in the works – new jobs” in 2015.

“But I am most excited about the foundation as it’s my baby that I’ve birthed, and I want to nurture it the best way I know how to.”

The calendar was conceptualised in May last year. Shooting began in early August and wrapped up in early November. Residents of KwaZulu-Natal will recognise many of the backdrops in the calendar.

“Because I wanted a truly personal feel to the calendar, I settled on using my home town, Durban, as the backdrop,” she said.

“We used different locations in the city – Moses Mabhida [Stadium], the beaches in and around Durban, sugar cane fields, the Market Taxi rank and the shark tank at uShaka Marine World.

“Even my back garden at my house became a location because we had to improvise due to bad weather on one of the days.

“I worked with an amazing creative team who understand me, and the process was made that much easier by that existing magic formula we’ve always enjoyed?...?Even my mother had a hand in my styling as she created the look of the Zulu maiden scene and conceptualised that shot.”

Dlamini can’t choose a favourite shot. “All the images are a favourite as each one has a personal story attached to it,” she says.
