Before the death of public art activist and entrepreneur Lesley Perkes, the Les is More campaign had been created to assist her family with the high cost of her cancer treatment.

The campaign’s focus has now shifted to helping Perkes’ mother and teenage son with the cost of her death, as well as to keep her legacy alive.

The Fund Raising Fine Art and Photography Auction will be held at Gallery Momo in Parktown North, Joburg, on Thursday, May 28, with previews on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Artists and photographers are being asked to donate their best and most powerful work towards this auction.

Brooklyn-based artist Justin Tellian and South African artist Steven Cohen have already made donations. Other artists and photographers looking to make donations can get in touch with Gallery Momo at karen@gallerymomo.co.za
