Bodies of suspected KZN housebreakers found

2011-10-15 10:10

The bodies of two suspected housebreakers were found at the bottom of a cliff in the Mid Illovo district in the Kwazulu-Natal Midlands, police said today.

The brothers went missing on Wednesday and were allegedly kidnapped by an angry homeowner and his friends in KwaMakhutha, south of Durban, Colonel Jay Naicker said.

The men accused the brothers of breaking into their house and stealing valuables. They apparently hauled the brothers into a car and drove off. An alleged accomplice of the brothers managed to run away.

Yesterday blood stains and a blood-soaked jacket were found at the homeowner’s property, Naicker said.

They then led police to their bodies at the base of the cliff.

Two men were charged with their murders.
