Brother stabs sister to death

2011-02-17 08:39

A 13-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her brother in Tsolo outside Mthatha, Eastern Cape police said today.

“He entered through the window where she was sleeping,” said Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela.

“The 13-year-old was stabbed and killed by her 20-year-old brother.”

The neighbours heard the girl screaming around 8pm and alerted the police.

Her brother, who was injured during the attack, was arrested and taken to hospital where he is under police guard.

Fatyela said the man was a known drug user, but the police were still investigating the motive for the killing.
