Memphis, US – Fans of Elvis Presley made a night-time, candle-lit walk past his gravesite at Graceland during a memorial of his death 37 years ago.

Devotees of the King of Rock ’n Roll participate each year in a vigil on the anniversary of his death. Presley died of a heart attack at age 42 on August 16 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Fans strolled quietly yesterday through the Mediation Garden at Graceland, Presley’s longtime home.

The vigil is a highlight of Elvis Week, an annual celebration of Presley’s career and life.
