2012-07-12 10:33

Local women are in for a surprise this Women’s Day as international singer Carl Thomas is set to give a one-night-only performance.

The singer who is known for his love ballads, Emotional, I Wish and Summer Rain, will be brought into the country by local promoter Kennedy Khabo Mabe, for the show that will take place at Sun City on August 4.

Mabe from Khabo Mabe On Time (KMOT) said, “We look forward to welcoming Mr Thomas to Mzansi as part of the First Annual Pre-Women’s Day Celebration.

“Carl is an accomplished artist, producer and entertainer with over 20 years in the entertainment industry; he has performed and collaborated with artists and entertainment luminaries such as P Diddy and Snoop Dogg,” he said.

While in South Africa Thomas (40) is also scheduled to visit Community projects in Rustenburg, Soweto and Atteridgeville in Pretoria and he will be part of MetroFM Eddie Zondi’s Soul Sessions at Dibango’s Place in Pretoria on August 5.

Sun International’s Sue Klerck said: “We are very excited to have Carl Thomas performing at the Superbowl and sharing the stage with some of our best local artists, proving that South Africa can compete with the best in the world.”
