Get a room, Charlize and Sean

2014-05-11 15:00

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn partied the night away at one of the biggest events on New York’s social calendar – then stepped out looking decidedly hung over the next morning.

The Oscar winners held hands and smiled for the cameras at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute benefit gala on Monday night.

Then Benoni’s most famous export and Penn, who is Madonna’s ex-husband, got down and dirty at the afterparty.

US Weekly said an eyewitness reported that the pair danced “sexily” to Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Got Your Money and sneaked cigarettes on the balcony.

At one point, the source told the gossip website: “They play-fought with each other,” and Theron started “biting on his neck” before “rigorously making out”.

The Hollywood Reporter said this week that Penn’s latest directorial effort, The Last Face – which Theron will headline with Spanish heart-throb Javier Bardem – has received financing and will go into production in August.

Penn has renounced his beloved gun collection, apparently at Theron’s insistence, and the pair were recently in Northern Cape, South Africa, scouting locations for his film.
