Here comes DJ Zille

Tomorrow, DA leader Helen Zille gets behind the microphone at Power FM station as a DJ.

Zille will host Eusebius McKaiser’s Power Talk show between 10am and midday on the eve of Women’s Day.

She leads the pack of celebrity and political figures who, in the spirit of Women’s Month, run the show at the Joburg-based talk station.

The list of some of the country’s most powerful women include Small Business Minister Lindiwe Zulu, who will drive Tim Modise’s Power Breakfast between 6am and 9am.

The Economic Freedom Fighters’ Magdalene Moonsamy will host Thabiso Tema’s Power Drive between 3pm and 5pm.

TV presenter Mpho Maboi will be on Power Sport Extra from 5pm to 6pm.

On the weekend, Penny Lebyane will host Paul Mnisi’s 6am to 9am Power Buro, actress Sophie Ndaba is in for Ben Dikobe’s Power Experience from 9am to midday and Khanyi Mbau for Thabo Mdluli’s Power Express between 3pm and 6pm.

The station’s female presenters such as Azania Mosaka, Aphelele Somi and Pabi Moloi remain in their respective slots.

Power FM’s marketing head, Msizi Mazibuko, said the line-up was designed to demonstrate women’s dynamism while sharing the station’s fun character.

The station returns to its normal programming on Monday, August 11.
