‘I don’t want to be like a plastic doll’: Miss SA

2012-07-10 10:53

While Miss SA Melinda Bam has admitted that she has considered a boob job, the beauty queen has said she decided against it because she doesn’t “want to be like a plastic doll”.

After recent rumours that a boob job and being pregnant are behind the beauty queen’s decision to withdraw from the Miss World competition, Bam has spoken out and is now “more determined than ever” to win Miss Universe, reported Pretoria News.

Bam told Pretoria News that the focus of Miss Universe had changed over the past few years and that they’re looking for natural beauties, despite recent claims that the pageant is a sexier competition than Miss World.

Regarding the boob job saga, Bam said the following: “I’m not going to lie to you and say I have never considered it. Of course I have.”

She however decided against a boob job, “because it is important to me to stay natural”.

“I don’t want to be like a plastic doll. I am not going to find fault with my body,” she told the newspaper.

Bam also told Pretoria News that she is a stronger person after the rumours and that she doesn’t “take it personally”.
