Idols: Goodbye Gail, Sindi, Pieter W, Adeline?

2010-09-08 07:27

TV writer Farrah Francis caught up with two of the country’s biggest Idols fans and entertainment bloggers to give us their predictions on who will get the boot.

Based on Sunday’s performance, I would have to say the bottom three will be Gail, Sindi and Pieter West. This is a difficult choice, but I think Pieter or Sindi might be sent home tonight and more specifically I would say Pieter West. It’s hard to predict, but I don’t think he was strong enough on the night. I would be very surprised if Boki goes home as I think he was one of the best on the night.

I would be very surprised if Elvis Blue went home tonight, he is a consistent performer who has done well throughout. I saw Gail on Sunday night and I didn’t think she was up to standard. She might be on the chopping block tonight. Adeline has proven to the critics that she is not just a poppie. She has dispelled all the myths and really reigned the stage with her performance. I really think Jaime-Lee has justified why she is on stage, and she will be safe from elimination.

Farrah’s thoughts
Tonight is going to be a tough one, but with Gail’s performance on Sunday, this former Miss City Press entrant may be waving the queen’s goodbye tonight. Perhaps her looks will see her garner a few more votes? Although Bongi seems to be the crowd favourite, it seems the energiser bunny is a bit too much to handle, even for Parlotones frontman Kahn Morbee. He may land in the bottom three tonight. I may have to disagree with Clayton about Adeline – she should hit rock bottom with her performance but unfortunately a better singer may be sacrificed in her place.
