Idols: It’s anyone’s game

2011-09-12 07:08

It’s anyone’s guess who’ll be voted out in Idols tomorrow, but Lefa Pike may just be on shaky ground.

Freddie Van’Dango may join Pike at the bottom as the general feeling at the judging table was that his performances weren’t up to scratch.

Van’Dango seemed to have gotten a little carried away with the “rockstar thing”, said Randall Abrahams.

“You have to remember that this is a competition,” Abrahams said.

After making a last-minute change to one of his song choices, Idols top 5 finalist Dave van Vuuren had the judges and the audience eating out of the palm of his hand during yesterday’s performance.

Van Vuuren (21) was supposed to sing Closer to the Edge by 30 Seconds to Mars but instead sang The Beatles hit, Come Together.

After the performance, Van Vuuren could not contain his excitement and said: “That was truly amazing! I lost myself within in the songs.”

The judges thought Mark Haze (28) gave his best performances of the season while Crushanda Forbes (23) was warned to move out of her comfort zone and to choose something that pushes and challenges her more.

All will be revealed during the results show, broadcast on M-Net tomorrow at 7:30pm.
