If we survived, so can you

2012-02-04 11:08

The most amazing thing about some people who are the product of “Bantu education” is how they managed to forge forward in this journey of life even though all odds were against them.

Black people, as inferior as their Bantu education was, managed to push themselves to a point where they could compete against white people, who had everything on the proverbial “silver platter”, and win the contest convincingly.

I am proud of the “products” of Bantu education. In my view, they are the greatest of survivors.

They have proven to the world that after all, a black man is not as inferior as he is sometimes viewed to be. They are living examples of the saying: “What doesn’t break you will make you stronger.”

I am proud today to say we are a product of “Bantu education”, and here we are still going strong.

Now a word to the young people. If the generation before you survived such testing times, what is stopping you from making it to the top?

All the information and resources you need to help you make it through this journey are there. Exploit them as much as you can.

Take advantage of the time you are living in. If we made it despite the circumstances of our time, surely you can make it too.
