‘Jub Jub was my man’

2010-07-18 09:31

A second KwaZulu-Natal beauty has claimed a love affair with

hip-hop artist Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye.

Pietermaritzburg student Leigh Mvubu says she had a secret romance

with Maarohanye which ended in tears and an abortion.

Earlier this year Jub Jub was linked to another stunner – Durban dancer

Czernaaz Metedad (20).

The latest disclosure comes just as Jub Jub and sex goddess

Kelly Khumalo are enjoying being new parents to their baby boy.

Mvubu alleges that after she fell pregnant Jub Jub forced her to

abort the baby to save his relationship with his then fiancee, actress Amanda du

Pont, a Swazi beauty he also dumped for Khumalo.

This week Jub Jub told City Press through his spokesperson that he did

not know Mvubu and had never had a relationship with her. Mvubu says she met

Jub Jub in

2008.

“I was a student at Durban University of Technology (DUT) in

January 2008 when I met him. It was during the Magic Tour (Campus to Campus

music concerts to mark the beginning of the academic year), where he was one of

the performers.

“We started to date officially in September that year during the

Miss DUT Pageant,” she says.

“He would book me flights to travel back and forth between Durban

and Johannesburg. During the affair he told me about Amanda but he assured me

she would not be a problem.

“In 2009 I moved back to Pietermaritzburg (from Durban) to attend

Varsity College and we were still going strong. In May 2009 I moved up to

Johannesburg, but for various reasons I moved back home in September. One of the

reasons was my pregnancy. He persuaded me to abort the baby and I bought into

the idea.”

The Ndikhokhele star allegedly toured with her around the

country.

“We went all over. I remember one trip to Welkom in December last

year; we spent two days there with his backup artist, Bonez, as well as Jamela

and DJ Giggs,” she says.

She says from Welkom they drove to Johannesburg, where he asked her

to get a Ju Baby tattoo on her back.

“I soon found out about Kelly’s pregnancy and some of his lies. He

blatantly denied any association with Kelly. This was followed by our break-up.

He called me once when he was still in jail, but I discontinued our

interaction.”

Jub Jub’s manager, Jeff Mokganele, denied any involvement

with Mvubu or anyone from Pietermaritzburg.

“We were driving a Mazda 5. It is not possible to carry anybody

else.

“I heard about her, but I can confirm that the said relationship

did not materialise,” he said.

Mvubu says she is trying to forget Jub Jub to concentrate on

her studies.

Meanwhile, the Love You Till The End star is awaiting murder

charges.

He faces four charges of murder, two of attempted murder, one of

reckless and negligent driving and another of driving under the influence, along

with his co- accused, Themba Tshabalala.

The charges are linked to the deaths of four schoolboys in a car

crash in Protea Glen, Soweto, in March.
