Kalou, Bosingwa leave Chelsea

2012-07-02 14:39

Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa, who featured in Chelsea’s Champions League final win over Bayern Munich in May, have left the London club.

Ivory Coast striker Kalou and former Portugal defender Bosingwa are now free agents after the European champions opted not to renew their contracts, the club said on their website.

Kalou scored 60 goals in six seasons at Stamford Bridge and made a record 107 substitute appearances.
Bosingwa joined Chelsea in 2008, but injuries restricted him to 126 appearances.

Meanwhile, Brazilian right back Rafael Da Silva has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, tying him to the Premier League giants until the summer of 2016, Sapa reported.

Rafael, who moved to Old Trafford in 2008, says “my time here has been unbelievable; winning two league titles, a League Cup and a Club World Cup has made me hungry for more trophies.
