American reality TV star Khloé Kardashian stole the show at a press conference in the run-up to the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban yesterday.

Chairs and glasses went flying as journalists and film crew jumped to attention when the youngest Kardashian sister (29) entered the Playhouse Company theatre in central Durban.

She took a seat, flanked by a troupe of burly bodyguards, minutes after her new boyfriend, New York-based rapper French Montana (29), stepped up to the podium to address media. Kardashian flaunted curves in thigh-hugging jeans and a low-cut black top, with large hoop earrings.

The pair arrived in Durban together at lunchtime.

Addressing the media contingent, French said: “After spending 13 hours in the air, I’m still a little jet-lagged, you know.”

Asked for an update on his relationship with Kardashian, he smilled and said: “Next question!”

Meanwhile, she smiled her support from her chair in the audience.

Kardashian filed for divorce from basketballer Lamar Odom in December.

Media around the world have been abuzz with news of her new love, who, reportedly, has showered her with expensive jewellery.

It is not yet clear whether the tall brunette’s South African excursion will be documented in the family’s reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, a cameraman was seen hovering by her side inside the venue.
