Mahlangu claims ET raped him, gave him HIV

2012-08-20 14:26

Chris Mahlangu, convicted of the murder of Eugene Terre’Blanche, reportedly believes the former AWB leader left him HIV positive.

He claimed the right wing leader raped him before the killing in April 2010.

This emerged during sentencing proceedings today in the High Court sitting in Ventersdorp, Independent Online reported.

Clinical psychologist Hein Swanepoel told the court: “Mahlangu says he is HIV positive and suspects he must have been infected by the deceased.

“He alleges he was raped by the deceased three to four times and did not resist because the deceased was a powerful man.”

Judge John Horn dismissed the rape allegations when they were mentioned during the trial.

Mahlangu told the court he had gone to Terre’Blanche’s home on the day of the killing after finding his suitcase was missing.

He had been planning on going home for the Easter weekend.

When he arrived at Terre’Blanche’s home, the right-winger took him to the bedroom and revealed that he had taken the suitcase.

Mahlangu claims he was then raped in the room.

Afterwards Mahlangu said he attempted to leave, but Terre’Blanche restrained and threatened him with a panga.

Psychologist Hein Swanepoel told the court: “He said he (Mahlangu) then saw an iron rod lying on the floor so he grabbed it and hit the deceased.

“He said the deceased had previously assaulted him with fists and a sjambok.”

When Swanepoel interviewed Mahlangu’s wife, she said her husband had been raped four times at gunpoint.
